Russian carrier Aeroflot is exploring opportunities to expand its Sharjah sector operations.
The airline, which operated 186 passenger and flights over 2001 through Sharjah International Airport, continues to witness growing demand, said an official release issued yesterday.

general manager, and accompanied by Yakolev Yuri, ambassador, recently met
Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, chairman, Sharjah Department of Civil Aviation, Mohammed Al Hajri, director general, civil aviation, and Dr Ghanem Al Hajri, director general at the airport.
The officials discussed the possibility of expanding operations in this region which continues to be largely unaffected despite the difficult global market conditions at present.
