Indian Airlines will operate three additional flights to Goa on December 18, 20 and 22, to help cope with the Christmas rush.
The flights will operate from Sharjah to Goa via Calicut, departing from Sharjah at 2am and arriving Goa at 8.55am. A statement said the airline will also be reinstating the A-300 aircraft on its flights from Sharjah to Calicut from December 6, to accommodate the expected rise in passenger numbers.
The airline will also offer Trivandrum as a free add-on destination to all its passengers travelling from Sharjah to Kochi. The offer is available with immediate effect and valid until May 31, 2002.
Also with immediate effect, the airline will offer special fares of Dh850 (one way) and Dh1,600 (round trip) from Sharjah to Calcutta or Kathmandu via Delhi.

Passengers to Calcutta or Kathmandu can avail themselves of a free stopover at Delhi, in either or both directions.
From December 16, the airline will offer a special fare of Dh800 for one-way travel and Dh1,250 round trip, from Sharjah to Patna or Jaipur, via Delhi. Passengers can either choose to take an immediate onward flight to Patna or Jaipur or a free stopover in Delhi.
Indian Airlines has also decided to revise its fare from Sharjah to Delhi with immediate effect. The revised fares from Sharjah to Delhi will be Dh700 (one way) and Dh1,300 (round trip). For travel commencing after December 16, these fares will be Dh500 (one way) and Dh1,000 (round trip).
Similarly, the airline's fare to Amritsar from December16 beco-mes Dh800 (one way) and Dh1,250 (return). Travel to Lucknow on or after December is Dh900 (one way) and Dh1,500 (round trip).
