promote the emirate
of Sharjah as a tourist destination.
Sharjah Airport Authority's organising
committee has planned heritage, cultural,
sight-seeing and sporting events for
the participants, delegates, their families
and other accompanying guests.
This is the
third time Sharjah Airport is hosting
an ACI event. The previous conferences
were well attended by delegates of the
industry from across the world and well
represented by a number of international
airports, major international passenger
and cargo carriers, and passenger and
cargo agents.
Previous events and
conferences discussed events pertaining
to the challenges to the air industry,
security measures, proper utilisation
and focus on economising resources and
profit maximisation, customer service
and support.
Dr. Ghanem
Al Hajri, director general of Sharjah
Airport Authority, said: "The event
is for the collective benefit of all
the members and participants, wherein
the objective can be achieved by exchanging
ideas and presenting the latest challenges
of the industry."
Al Hajri said he is
very optimistic about the success of
the show. He noted that the airport
is proud to host the conference.
